MUSEUM OF EVOLUTION

Architecture
SCAD Senior Capstone
Jan-May 2020

The Museum of Evolution (MOE) is designed to celebrate the power and beauty of trancendence. The building has a radial organization around the main garden to fast-pace the of decay of the building from the inside-out due to the abundant natural features inside of it. Since the program of a museum is to exhibit objects of artistic, cultural, historical, or scientific importance; the MOE is meant to showcast the building as the object being exposed and appreciated through a natural process of decomposition. The architectural language of the building leans toward a rectilinear composition to clearly mark a juxtaposition between the natural versus the man-made.
